Tips On Choosing E Cig Liquid Flavors

By Lela Perkins

Whether you're new to using electronic cigarettes or have been using them for a while, most people know how important it can be to find the right e cig liquid flavors. Doing so not only helps to ensure better quality but also a better experience when in regards to what the person vaping might taste. However, since there are so many brands or places to choose from, keeping a few things in mind can often help.

When it comes to finding the best flavor, things can depend on each individual. This is because some people may prefer a certain type of flavor, such as tobacco versus something fruity, just as how some may want something mild rather than strong. Naturally, each individual's sense of taste can vary; therefore, what might taste good to one person could very well differ from another.

People often locate the right liquid by finding the right company. This can take some research since so many are available, but going through word of mouth is one ideal way to go. This can be done online, through fellow vapers, or by looking into video or written reviews. However, keep in mind that just because one person likes a flavor, it won't necessarily mean that you'll feel the same.

Samples are offered by various companies and in different ways. Some may provide small 5 to 10 milliliter bottles, while others may offer sample cartridges. Some may allow you to mix and match a sample pack at a reduced price.

Aside from a person's own taste, other things can affect the flavor of an e-liquid. Most liquids are made up of various ingredients, which may or may not be natural, and they typically come with varying options of nicotine levels, including zero nicotine. Some companies may use quality pharmaceutical or organic ingredients.

People can choose from two options when it comes to the base of an e-liquid, which includes propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. For example, some people prefer PG since it doesn't overly affect the flavor of the other ingredients, and because it can provide a great throat hit. However, PG can sometimes cause a person's throat to feel irritated, and the product tends to provide little to no vapor. This is why some may prefer VG instead, although it can produce less of a throat hit and may mask flavors to some extent.

It's sometimes common to see a mixture of PG and VG together. For instance, someone may want more of throat hit and flavor, but still some vapor produced as they vape. Some companies may even allow individual to choose the mixture ratio to match their preference, like 70 percent PG and 30 percent VG, or even 50 percent ratios.

Another thing to consider while trying to locate the right e cig liquid flavors would be its actual age, especially since younger liquids may not have had enough time for the flavors to truly develop. Allowing a liquid to sit and mature is known as steeping, which may take several days, depending on the flavor and how or when it's produced. Therefore, if you run into a flavor you don't like, it may help to wait a while to see if it changes after some steep time.
